This is now the largest
golf resort on the Costa del Sol. All three golf
courses at La Cala are designed by Cabell
Robinson, and all are of championship standards.
The resort contains
extensive practice facilities. It is the
location for the only David Leadbetter Academy
in Spain, which offers lessons and group classes
for both beginners and experienced players, with
multilingual professionals on hand to improve
your game.
Situated besides the
six hole par 3 ‘executive’ course, the academy
has a grass driving range, top-class instruction
facilities including video analysis and a
high-tech putting studio. In addition there are
putting and chipping facilities.
There is a large
putting green situated beside the clubhouse, and
a separate green with two sand bunkers for short
game practice and a driving net.
Fairways of Bermuda
grass, Pencross grass greens and bunkers of
crushed marble, make all golf courses at La Cala
