Miraflores is one of the Costa del Sol's top
leisure and resort developments. Located in the
hills above Mijas Costa it offers breathtaking
views of the countryside down to the sea.
Open to the public in 1990, Miraflores has lush
fairways and well manicured greens. Three lakes
make for many water hazards, and well positioned
trees make this course a firm favourite.
Some recent major repairs have improved the
course. The new design has two lakes which make
it easier to reach the 11th hole, and two raised
tees have been built for the 14th hole. Holes
18th, 12th and 15th are really memorable, the
last with the water forming a moat around the
green. Hole 8th offers a breathtaking view of
the countryside.
The
centrally located clubhouse is perfectly
positioned to take advantage of the magnificent
panoramic scenery. Designed by Folco Nardi the
course has a number of elevated greens which
require some tough walking so a buggy is often a
good idea.
